BOOKS

I enjoy writing. Most of all, I love finishing a story. Novels are a perfect medium for me; no constraints on imagination, room for experimentation, and the possibility of producing a finished product by yourself. I have published one novel, When I Am King, and have been working on several others for well over a decade.

Jonathan is at a turning point - having just turned 29 and having done nothing with his life, he swears an oath to himself; By 30, I will be known, or I will take my own life. His simple, boring, and most of all pitiful existence, underscored by an inability to take action, is supported only by government assistance, and the euphoric sounds of Gemma Reano - once a popular folk-singer, now an artist with a small, but dedicated following.

As Jonathan attempts and fails again and again, his own death looming around the corner, he continues to find solace in Gemma, a woman double his age, whom he has never met. The Fury of Patient Men

Originally conceived as a triology, The Fury of Patient Men centers around a person for whom curiosity turns fatal. The witness to an unspeakable crime, he is engulfed with a mysterious organization of trained super-humans; the Atroxians. This brotherhood of men, raised since birth to be emotionless, cynical, without remorse, and without conscience, stand as a vanguard for all of humanity.

In the belief that exposure to violence breeds more violence, the men have sworn to cover-up, erase, and prevent as much tragedy as possible. As involvement with the brotherhood deepens, our protagonist is sworn into the network, and discovers a world at the brink of collapse, unknown to regular civilians. Entire massacres, bombings, and even wars have been covered up. The novels follow the Atroxians as they fight for not only their own survival, but the survival of mankind.

The Skystone Guardians

Set in the 1980's in rural America, a group of misfit teens find sanctuary in a large wheat field. One day, a blinding light crashes into the ground in front of them, revealing a small, smooth, blue stone. Upon touching the stone, one of the kids, whose leg is broken, is miraculously able to walk. Another kid, dependent on strong prescription glasses, gains perfect vision. Unsure of what to do, the group leader, Norman, decides to break the stone in two - keeping one part for themselves, and giving the other part to the police. News of the miraculous stone reach the highest echelons of government, and science is baffled.

Nicknamed the 'Black swan anomaly,' world powers fight to reclaim it from the U.S. government, in order to harness its powers for military use. As the world descents into regional conflicts, diplomatic annihilation, and the constant threat of nuclear war, the group of teens rebrand as the Skystone Guardians, and pledge to use their part of the stone to free humanity.
